EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Fundamentals of Family Immigration will present an overview of the United States Immigration process for the various categories of family-based immigration. The presenters will explain the various categories and nuances of how the immigration process unfolds in the region and around the world for family-based immigration to the United States.
This program is tailored to newly serving immigration attorneys and seasoned practitioners to discuss the following topics:
- The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and the role of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in determining eligibility for immigrant visas.
- Marriage Fraud, the 90-day fiancé rule, and other issues that are prevalent in today's media.
- Changes from the Trump to Biden administration, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on immigration.
